Collections

Collections allow you to group related snippets into a single, shareable set.

What Is a Collection?

A collection is a logical grouping of snippets inside Snipplle.

Collections help you organize snippets by:

  • Topic
  • Technology
  • Project
  • Use case

Each collection acts as a curated set of snippets.

Creating Collections

Collections are created within a workspace.

When creating a collection, you can:

  • Give the collection a name
  • Add the tags
  • Define its visibility (private or public)
  • Add or remove snippets

Collections do not duplicate snippets — they simply reference existing ones.

Public and Private Collections

Collections follow the same visibility model as snippets.

  • Private collections are visible only to workspace members
  • Public collections are accessible to everyone

Public collections can be used to showcase or share related snippets with the community.

Managing Collections

You can manage collections at any time:

  • Add snippets to a collection
  • Remove snippets from a collection
  • Update the collection name
  • Change collection visibility

Changes apply immediately.

Ownership and Access

Collections belong to a workspace.

  • Workspace members can view private collections
  • Public collections are readable by anyone
  • Access to private collections is revoked when workspace access is removed
